Academy of Sciences Library is universal scientific library with 1 200 000 titles including historical document collection. The rarest book is the Latin manuscript from 1430s - the Martinice bible.

The Library Am Guisanplatz (BiG), is responsible for the Swiss Federal Administration’s libraries network (Alexandria). It is also the specialist information centre for subjects such as history, the armed forces, civil protection, traffic, energy, migration, environment, commerce and so on.

Moravian Library in Brno is the traditional university and regional library in Moravia, founded in 1808. With its 3.7 million volumes it is the second largest library in Czech Republic second only to the National Library in Prague. It has a legal deposit library status since 1935.

NTK (Národní technická knihovna) is a research library with a technical and scientific book collection. There are about 1.2 million items in the library collection - books, textbooks, journals, multimedias, technical standards, theses and other types of documents in print or electronic form.

The University Library of Salzburg is the largest scientific and public library in Salzburg. It is part of the Paris-Lodron-University of Salzburg and consists of the main library, two faculty libraries and several branch libraries.

The Central Library of Slovak Academy of Sciences is based in Bratislava Slovakia. It is the main library of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS) and the central library in the library and information network of SAS. The collections have universal focus and consist of the basic works of all disciplines and languages.

The Swiss National Library (NL) is the world’s most important centre for information on Switzerland. Its collection offers a comprehensive range of material for historical, literary and art research, as well as architecture and monument preservation. The NL lends its documents for home use, with the exception of items that are especially fragile or delicate.

Along with the central library in the new Grimm-Zentrum and its 9 branch libraries, the University Library of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin contains about 6 million volumes. These include the important collection of about 1.4 million theses as well as a great number of special collections.

The University Library in Bratislava - Slovakia's largest and oldest scientific library has rich historical and contemporary collections including legal deposit. It carries several national and international responsibilities and it provides and develops modern and unrestricted library services.

The University Library of Greifswald is one of the oldest university libraries in Germany. Today the library owns more than 3 million volumes; about 200,000 are dated from before 1850. The University Library of the Medical University of Vienna, established in 2004, is the biggest medical library in Austria, with a stock of more than 803.000 volumes, including more than 3.500 dissertations and over 14.000 textbooks.

The Vienna City Library is one of the most important scholarly libraries with a special focus on Vienna. Its extensive holdings cover the period from the late18th century up to the immediate present and in the case of printed works date back to the late 15th century.
