Your requested eBook is thoroughly scanned and digitised from cover to cover. You will then receive your digital book in a single PDF file.
- Use your standard software (Adobe Acrobat Reader), to read the eBook on-screen, zoom in to the image or navigate through the book.
- Print single pages or the entire book.
- Use the full text search of individual terms.
- Copy the images and parts of the text to other applications (e.g. word processors).
- In addition, if feasible, you may get the automatically recognised text in a separate text file which you will be able to edit in any standard word processor.
Price: 44,00 EUR (including 100 pages) plus 0.19 EUR / page
Additional information regarding your order
We wish to point out that automatic text recognition (OCR) does not fully provide perfect results and inaccuracies can occur especially with older books.
- By ordering you accept the Terms and Conditions.
- Public domain books or books for which we receive a declaration of consent from the author or publishing houses are imported by us into the University Library of Greifwald's digital library and are thus globally available and also long-term preserved.
- Manuscripts and other rare books published before 1600 are also digitised on request. The price is, however, also specified in detail and goes by the condition and value of the books (according the regulation of charges of the University Library of Greifswald). In such cases, we will inform you in time and provide you with an unbinding cost estimation.
Payment options
Benefit from the various options of online payment:
- Direct payment by all leading credit cards providers (Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club, American Express), Maestro or Paypal.
- German orderers can alternatively pay by invoice.
- Local users of the University Library of Greifswald can also pay in cash directly at the service desk in the central library.

Sale or return
Unfortunately, returning eBooks is not possible, as the products are not suitable for this due to their nature.
- In addition to the digital form, the requested book will be reprinted in classic paperback and shipped right to you.
- Therefore, the scanned images will be additionally processed and printed by a "print on demand" service provider.
Price: The price consists of a reprint price and a reprint delivery price.
