The University and Regional Library of Tyrol is the largest library in western Austria and serves more than 40,000 registered users.

The library was founded in 1700. Its collections comprise of around 3.5 million volumes of books, more than 7,000 printed and 20,000 electronic journals. Highlights of the collection are manuscripts from the middle-ages and works from Tyrol originating from within its historical borders.

Today the library is involved in a number of national and international consortia and projects.

Austrian libraries union catalogue
The Austrian libraries union catalogue contains about 8 million titles of over 70 libraries. It focuses on literature published from 1980 onwards. However, thanks to (continuous) retro-conversion, the catalogue also contains quite many records from earlier books. The EOD button is shown at records for public domain books held by libraries of EOD members.
Digitised Card Catalogue
The catalogue comprises all books and journals from 1500 to 1988. Around 1.2 million cards can be searched alphabetically as well as by an automatically produced full text. All books can be ordered directly from the catalogue.
